To protect my tree seedling from animals and people, I was thinking of nurturing a 10-14" seedling tree in a pot for a few years? Do you recommend this?

We recommend planting directly into the earth. The less transplanting that each specimen experiences, the better. You can protect your seedling with a tree tube or cage. We recommend tubing or caging 6' in height to protect against deer. We also do not offer our limited warranty for plants planted in containers.

What color does the white oak’s leaves turn in fall?

Fall foliage is wine red in color.
