This standard size tree produces sweet, dark red to nearly black cherries, ripening in early to mid-summer. White flowers in springtime. The cherries, nearly 1' in size, are heart-shaped and resist cracking. You'll enjoy Stella Cherries as a delectable snack. Perfect for jams and jellies, or canned, frozen or dried. High in antioxidants. Stella is self-pollinating, but planted with Montmorency, will produce a larger crop. Plant in well-drained soil, 15-20' apart. Will typically bear fruit within 3-5 years.
