Cephalanthus occidentalis
Low maintenance, year-round appeal. Upright, arching branches, glossy oval leaves. Pollinators will visit the fragrant white spherical 1-2” spring flowers. Blooms look like pincushions covered in pistils! Waterfowl enjoy reddish-brown fruit which persists through winter. Naturalize in wet soils, commonly used for erosion control.
Product Questions
Can this plant be planted in the water? I'm looking for plants to help with erosion control next to a lake.

They can take a lot of moisture and wet soil. I am unsure how easy it will be to plant in standing water, since they are little to start. Maybe plant them near the lake and when a bit larger, transplant in the water so they get a bit of a head start.
