Will deer eat the plant itself?

Any young tree seedling is going to be tasty to try for the deer to try. We recommend caging or protecting in some manner until the trees get to sizeable enough to withstand any deer browse or rubbing.

The American Plum will bear fruit in approximately 4 to 6 years.

Is this a straight species of Prunus americana? The Latin name indicates so, but always like to check!

This is the plain species, no specialty cultivar.

When do you ship these and what is the latest order date to make a shipping time?

We ship from mid March-end of May. We will accept orders till the end of May but stock will be limited the closer we get to spring. When ordering online there is a section in check out that has timing of delivery. You may select a week for delivery or leave it up to us.
