Taxodium distichum
Long-lived, stately deciduous conifer, massive fluted trunk. Bright green fern-like, lacy, short needles turn copper or russet before they are shed in fall. Small round cones persist into winter. Prefers wet muck, clay or fine sandy soil, but tough enough to grow in drier areas.

It is categorized as slow growing which means less than a 1' a year on average. You could space about 20' apart so eventually they will touch at mature width.
